Susie Jimenez grew up with a large family that migrated from Mexico up to Oregon every year with the crop season. She and her family spent their days picking various fruits and vegetables until one day, Susie decided that being a chef was her calling. She went on to graduate from California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, where she received formal training, then the fun began. Throughout her career, she has held various culinary jobs, including as a line cook, executive chef, culinary instructor and now, a celebrity chef. In her roles as the Food Network Star Season 7 runner-up, co-host of Sabores de Familia, and being featured in segments of the Sporting Chef on the Sportsman Channel, she has not only captured people’s hearts with her spicy way of creating new dishes, but she has also raised the bar on Latin cuisine.
